channel

A channel is a path that carries or directs flow or movement, especially of TV & radio signals and water.

Example: He only watches two television news channels.

The bottom and sides ("banks") of a river or other place where water moves.

The natural or man-made deeper course through a reef, bar, bay, or any shallow body of water.

The part of a river where boats can pass.

Example: We have to keep our boat in the channel.

A narrow body of water between two land masses.

Example: The English Channel lies between France and England.
