court

A court is where people are tried for crimes.

Example: The bad guy goes to court to stand before the judge.

A court is an open space where certain games are played.

Example: Tennis is played on a court.

A court is where a sovereign (a king or queen), prince, or nobleman live; a palace.

Example: The noblemen visited the queen in her court.

When one person courts another, that person does things to get the other to like him or her.

Example: The boy sent flowers to court the girl.
