Unwise. A person who is foolish does not have good sense or judgement. They do things without thinking carefully; they do things that are bad ideas.

Example: The person who saw and copied my homework today is being foolish.

Foolish means someone who is usually foolish. They have the characteristic (quality) of being foolish.

Example: Being foolish once in a while does not make a person a foolish one.
