present

A present is a gift; something that someone gives to someone else.

Example: Here's a birthday present for you. I hope you like it.

The present is the time now at this moment.

Example: Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future, and today is the present.

Someone is present if the person is here, or the person is at the place someone is talking about.

Example: Five men and two women were present when the meeting started.

When you present something, you show it or give it to someone.
