A room is a place which is part of a building. Someone is able to see other people who are in the same room.

Example: We need a long, wide room because many people will be at the meeting.

Room can mean some space; a place with nothing, only air.

Example: I need room to be able to move my arms and not touch people.

To live in or share a room.

Example: I roomed with Ryan all four years of college.
