Stew is a dish that is made with meat and/or vegetables cooked in liquid.

A stew is an add-on to staple foods such as rice and pasta, usually in the form of soup, vegetables etc.

If you stew something, it means that you cook by slowly boiling or simmering.

Example: I'm going to stew some meat.

If you stew tea, it means that you brewed it for too long that the flavour becomes too strong.
