whip

A whip is a long, thin leather instrument. A person uses it, with very quick motion, to give pain. A person uses it on a horse or another person as punishment.

Example: When the horse sees the whip in the person's hand, the horse gets scared and runs far away.

A whip is a member of a political party who is in charge of enforcing the party's policies in votes.

If you whip something, you hit it with a whip.

Example: Jockeys whip horses to make them go faster.
